The tour to The Rose Garden from Bangkok Thailand features the Thai Village Cultural Show, featuring an impressive cast of 150 performers, portrays captivating scenes of everyday life in rural Thailand and ‘Thai ways’ and offers a vivid introduction to: Thai living, the ‘cycle of life’, time-honored customs and traditions in an agricultural community in Thailand; the Thai passion for festive fun or ‘sanuk’ and Thai ‘joie de vivre’ – the celebration of a good life and good times, as expressed in the folk songs and dance of the four regions of Thailand.
In the village visitors can wander around the premises, observing villagers as they partake in traditional handicrafts: silk-weaving, pottery, umbrella painting, mask making, and even fruit carving. Also on display are the various housing styles from north to south Thailand
For those of you who were held in awe by the round of ‘muay thai’ staged during the Thai Village Cultural Show and are keen to learn more about this ancient art of self-defence, or perhaps even to master the basics, Thai boxing is featured as one of the options in our ‘Thai Living’ program.
For nature lovers, enjoy a leisurely stroll through the Botanical Gardens admiring the impressive diversity of native tropical flora and fauna.
